Week 8 Camp- Sewing

Cost: $325/week + $25.00 supply fee (material list below)

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew? Make a simple pillow, hem a pair of pants, sew on a button? Now you can. Here you will become familiar with how to use a sewing machine, hand sewing with needle and thread, how to pin and cut out a pattern. Some of those projects include a bookmark, scrunchie, headband, drawstring bag, a hot pad, a simple pillow and a pet bandana.

Materials needed: 1-2 yards of cotton fabric

1 spool of thread

Fabric scissors

1 package - ½ inch elastic-

1 package - 1 inch Velcro

1 spool of coordinating color ½ inch ribbon

Seam ripper

1 package hand sewing needles

1 package of fiberfill- pillow stuffing
